You've expressed interest or joined United Way of New York City's Women United (formerly the Women's Leadership Council) through your company's United Way campaign or by supporting one of our fundraising events. So we may better serve your volunteer interests, please use the form below to let us know what Women United subcommittee you'd like to join! To help you make your decision, here are brief descriptions of the subcommittees:
Membership: Focuses on Women United member development, recruitment, and stewardship strategies, including welcoming new donors to the network.
Luncheon Host Committee: A group of dynamic Women United members and fundraisers that will steer the annual Power of Women to Make a Difference Award Luncheon, Women United's flagship fundraising event every March. At the helm, you’ll add your name to an event that draws hundreds of leaders from across industries each year.
Events: Plans and executes events to raise funds to advance UWNYC's mission of moving low-income New Yorkers from surviving to thriving. Members serve as catalysts in devising and executing events that focus on: volunteerism, professional development, corporate engagement, lifestyle, and fundraising.
Corporate Engagment: Do you currently belong to other women’s networks? The Corporate Engagement committee recognizes that connecting with diverse women’s networks across NYC serves as a means to build new connections and partnerships for our Women United.
